What to Expect in a Library Training Session

What to expect at an in-person one to one library training session

Your training session will be at the RCN Library and Museum, 20 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0RN.

 

You will get an email from “Information Literacy” with location details and your appointment time before the session. The library entrance is on Henrietta Place.

When you arrive at the library, please tell the staff at the help desk that you’re here for a one to one training session.

They may ask you to wait in our waiting area, or in the lower ground floor of the library. The staff member will tell the librarian that you have arrived. The librarian will come to meet you.

 

There is step-free access to the lower ground floor using a lift, or you can use the staircase.

You can bring your own laptop to connect to our WiFi, or you can use one of the library computers. The training session will be held in a quiet area on the lower ground floor of the library. Alternatively, it can be held in a private room, please let us know if you would prefer this.

The training session will last up to one hour. After the session, the librarian will send you an email with more information and a link to our feedback survey.
